1982

For development of one-component acetone-cure silicone RTV rubber, Shin-Etsu receives National Commendation for Invention from the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation (JIII).

1985

Received National Commendation for Invention from the JIII (for silicone SEP rubber).

1986

Received Director-General's Award from the Science and Technology Agency (for acetone-based silicone RTV rubber).

1990

Received Society of Silicon Chemistry, Japan Award (for development of radiation-cured silicone for release paper).

1992

Received Director-General's Award from the Science and Technology Agency (for addition-cure silicone for release paper).

1993

Received the Chunichi Shimbun's Chunichi Industrial Technology Award (for development of oxygen permeable contact lenses).

2001

Received Society of Silicon Chemistry, Japan Award (for development of a new conductive powder and its application to highly conductive silicone rubbers).

2003

Received Society of Silicon Chemistry, Japan Award (for liquid-rubber and plastics adhesive technology).

2008
